2025 8U Plus Season
8U Plus is a program to help 8U players transition to full ice hockey before they move to the 10U age division. The program consists of an 8-to-10-week schedule of regional games, consisting of teams made up of exclusively 2016 players. This program runs concurrently with the regularly-scheduled 8u season calendar, starting in January 2025, and concludes with a season-ending tournament in March.
Ages
This is for second-year 8U players born in 2016.
When
The program begins on January 14, 2025, and concludes with the March tournament. The program requires each team to play 8 games to qualify for state tournament play.
Where
Practices will be held on Sundays either at the Dee or HoCo. Games will be scheduled on weekends against other area 8U plus teams. At least four of those games will be home games, with the rest of the required games at other area association rinks.
Cost
The cost for this program is $175. This includes:
- One full-ice practice weekly
- Four home games (including ice and referee costs)
- State tournament entry fee
Extra Costs
Additional costs will be travel to away games and for travel to the tournament in March.
